Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. About Contoura
Contoura is an interactive head and neck CT anatomy education platform operated by Contoura Anatomy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17444058).
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Contoura website, applications and associated services. By accessing or using Contoura, you agree to these Terms.
For enquiries, please contact contact@contouraanatomy.com.
2. Educational purpose
Contoura provides interactive CT anatomy resources designed for education, training and professional development, including CT images, anatomical contours, labels and interactive learning features.
Contoura is intended exclusively for educational purposes. It is not intended for clinical diagnosis, treatment decisions, radiotherapy planning or direct patient care, and is not offered as a regulated medical device.
Although reasonable efforts are made to ensure anatomical accuracy, the information may contain inaccuracies, omissions or variations from established references. Users must exercise independent professional judgement and consult appropriate clinical guidelines and authoritative sources when making clinical decisions.
3. Accounts and access
Users may be required to create an account to access Contoura. You agree to provide accurate registration information and maintain the confidentiality of your credentials.
Accounts are intended for individual use and must not be shared with unauthorised users. We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse, fraud or material breaches of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
4. Free access trial
Eligible new users receive 48 hours of free access to Contoura, beginning when they first enter the interactive CT viewer. No payment details are required to begin this trial.
After 48 hours, access to subscription-only features is restricted unless an eligible subscription is purchased. The free access trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription, and users are not charged merely because it expires.
We may modify or discontinue promotional trial offers for future users.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Contoura offers paid monthly subscriptions. Prices may vary by country, currency, taxes, purchasing platform and promotional offers. The applicable price, billing frequency and purchase conditions are displayed before payment is authorised.
All monthly subscriptions automatically renew each month until cancelled, whether purchased through the Contoura website or Apple’s App Store.
6. Subscriptions purchased through Apple’s App Store
Payments are processed and managed by Apple. Users can manage or cancel subscriptions through their Apple account settings. App Store purchases and refunds are subject to Apple’s applicable policies and statutory consumer rights.
7. Subscriptions purchased through the Contoura website
Website subscription payments are processed through Stripe. Users can manage or cancel their website subscriptions through Settings → Subscription Management within their Contoura account. For assistance, contact contact@contouraanatomy.com.
8. Cancellation and access
Users may cancel at any time. Cancellation prevents future automatic renewals; access normally continues until the end of the current paid billing period unless applicable law or platform policy requires otherwise.
Refunds are subject to applicable consumer protection laws and relevant purchasing platform policies. Deleting a Contoura account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Users should cancel subscriptions separately to avoid further renewal charges. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory consumer rights.
9. Access across devices
Contoura accounts may be used across supported devices and platforms. Where technically supported, an active subscription linked to a Contoura account may provide access through the website and compatible applications.
Users must sign in to the appropriate account. Cross-platform availability depends on technical compatibility, subscription verification and application availability; not every feature is guaranteed on every device or platform.
10. Intellectual property
Contoura’s software, interface design, original anatomical contours, annotations, educational materials, branding and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except where expressly permitted, users must not reproduce, redistribute, commercially exploit, reverse engineer or create unauthorised derivative works from protected Contoura materials.
Users receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the platform for lawful educational purposes during authorised access. Nothing transfers ownership of Contoura intellectual property or restricts rights granted under applicable third-party licences.
11. Third-party anatomical data
Certain imaging materials used in Contoura are derived from the Embodi3D “Full Head and Neck CT with contrast” dataset, used under a Creative Commons Attribution licence.
12. Acceptable use
You must not use Contoura to violate laws, infringe intellectual property, gain unauthorised access, disrupt platform security or operations, redistribute protected content without permission (except where law or licence allows), or misrepresent Contoura as an approved clinical diagnostic or treatment-planning system.
We may take reasonable action to prevent misuse, including restricting access where appropriate.
13. Service availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable educational service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Contoura may undergo maintenance, updates, improvements and technical modifications.
Features, content and supported platforms may change. Where changes materially affect paid subscriptions, we will provide notice where required by law.
14. Limitation of liability
Contoura is provided as an educational resource. To the extent permitted by law, Contoura Anatomy Ltd is not responsible for losses arising from inappropriate reliance on the platform for clinical diagnosis, treatment planning or patient management.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights.
15. Privacy and personal information
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review it for details of the information collected, processing and your rights.
16. Termination
You may stop using Contoura at any time and may request account deletion, subject to legal and operational requirements.
Deleting an account does not necessarily cancel subscriptions purchased through Apple or Stripe. Cancel subscriptions separately to prevent renewal charges. We may suspend or terminate access for material breaches, subject to applicable law.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements or business operations. The latest version will be published on our website with a revised date, and material changes will be notified where required.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
