Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

1. Introduction

Contoura Anatomy Ltd (“Contoura”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information when you access our website, applications and services.

Contoura Anatomy Ltd is registered in England and Wales (company number 17444058). For privacy enquiries, contact contact@contouraanatomy.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information necessary to provide and maintain Contoura. This may include account information (name, email address, account identifier and authentication information); subscription information (status, purchase history, renewal dates and entitlement verification); transaction and billing information provided by payment partners; technical information (such as IP address, device or browser information and security or diagnostic logs); and information you send when contacting us.

Contoura does not intentionally collect patient records, medical histories or identifiable clinical information. We do not use personal information for third-party or behavioural advertising tracking.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to create and authenticate accounts; provide educational content; verify subscriptions and entitlements; administer payments; respond to support enquiries; maintain security, reliability and functionality; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on performance of a contract for accounts, access and subscriptions; legitimate interests for security, misuse prevention, diagnostics and relevant service enquiries (subject to your rights); legal obligations for accounting, tax and regulatory compliance; and consent where required, including for any optional non-essential cookies.

5. Third-party service providers

Base44 provides application infrastructure and account functionality. RevenueCat supports subscription management, purchase verification and entitlements. Stripe processes website payments and subscriptions. Apple processes App Store purchases and may provide authentication services. Cloudflare provides website hosting and related infrastructure and security services.

These providers may process information necessary to provide their services under their applicable privacy arrangements. Contoura does not receive or store full payment card details merely because a purchase is made through Stripe or Apple.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Contoura may use cookies or similar technologies needed for authentication, account sessions, security and essential functionality. We do not intentionally use advertising cookies or behavioural advertising trackers. If we introduce optional analytics or other non-essential tracking, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.

7. International data transfers

Contoura is available internationally. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data protection law applies, we will take appropriate steps to comply with applicable international transfer requirements, including recognised adequacy arrangements or approved contractual safeguards where required.

8. Data retention

We retain information only as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain account and subscription records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the platform. Following account deletion, we delete or anonymise associated information unless retention is required or permitted by law.

Some transaction records may be retained for tax, accounting or other legal requirements. Payment providers may apply their own retention requirements.

9. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. We use established providers for authentication, payments and application infrastructure, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your data protection rights

Depending on location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information; restrict or object to certain processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.

Contact contact@contouraanatomy.com to exercise these rights. We will respond according to applicable law. UK users may raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk.

11. Account deletion

You may request deletion through available account settings or by contacting us. Requests are handled in accordance with applicable law. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an active Apple or Stripe subscription; cancel separately through the relevant subscription management process to prevent renewal charges.

12. Children’s privacy

Contoura is primarily intended for healthcare professionals, trainees and adult learners. We do not knowingly seek to collect information from children. If we learn that information has been collected from a child in circumstances requiring parental authorisation, we will take appropriate steps under applicable law.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, technology, legal requirements or processing. The latest version will appear on our website with an updated date, and additional notice will be provided where legally required.
